“Relation” explores the intertwined dynamics of artificial environments and natural ecosystems within urban spaces. The work uses the hollow structures left behind by deceased trees as an interface, bearing the imprint of vanished life. Through shifts in perspective, the movement of the viewer reveals fleeting silhouettes of wildlife within the natural structure, evoking the rhythm of life resurrected within the cells of withered plants. The piece not only captures the subtle distance between contemporary ecosystems and humanity but also suggests the overlapping coexistence of life across time and space. By leveraging this visual fluidity, the audience experiences the duality of gazing and being gazed upon, highlighting how life continues to inscribe its presence in the crevices between nature and the artificial amidst the process of urbanization.
